Carol Robinson has over 30 years of experience, starting with her early training at BBC Cardiff Television Centre.
The majority of her work is based as a makeup and hair artist in the UK Film and television Industry. Carol is recognised for delivering unique and high quality wig making work. This is an industry art form she learnt when she went to work for Academy Award winners, Owen and King. The Bristol based wig makers work includes The Hobbit and Lord of The Rings.
Carol loves the diversity of her work. She is requested by Cher on tour, as her wig maker and wig dresser; she found the prospect of working on the 2010 feature Burlesque, with Cher, ‘an amazingly creative experience’. More recently Carol was commissioned to make the wigs for the look of Geoffrey Rush’s character, Captain Barbossa, in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean and more recently the wigs for Cher in Mamma Mia 2.
Carol’s career has lead her to be able to work alongside many great and accomplished actors from Jack Nicolson to Demi Moore, Gary Oldman to Robert Duvall, John Malkovitch to Michael Caine and Paul Bettany… all par for the course working in this most fascinating Industry.
