Frequently Asked Questions

To enrol on a course at BAMM, just complete the Course Enrolment form on our website. If you have any difficultly with this, or would prefer to go the paper route, just drop us an e-mail or give us a call and we can send one through the post.

Once you have enrolled online we would invite you to an interview at the school to discuss your career aspirations, show you around our excellent studios and ensure we are right for you, and you for us. Beyond this you will be sent an invoice for your chosen course and asked to provide a 25% deposit to secure your place. This deposit is non-refundable. You will also be asked to pay for your course 4 weeks prior to the course date.

All students must be 18 or over to enrol on any of our Courses. (We only take students over the age of 18 for our Peter King TV & Film Makeup Course because it is an adult education course and it would be extremely difficult to work as a makeup artist within the industry under this age. If you are under 18 please give us a call and we will advise you further)

Yes. We offer Payment Plans for the Peter King Course. This is to help spread payments across the duration of the course.

We always love to meet new people and are immensely passionate about finding new talent. If you would like to see the school and discuss your career then please e-mail, to arrange a one to one appointment. We also hold regular Open Days throughout the year, dates of which will be on our website.

We limit our classes to no more than 12 students. All our tutors are currently working in television, film, theatre etc. so are experts in their respective fields of media makeup. This is what sets BAMM apart from its competition!  We want our students to learn from the very best in the industry and as the industry moves at such as fast pace, this is vital if students are to leave with the most up to date skills when they graduate.

No, you do not need any previous experience… just a passion to learn!

You will receive a Certificate of Excellence upon completion of your course which will be signed by the Academy Principal; Melanie Weekley and the tutors you have received training under. This certificate will be recognised within the industry as all our tutors are well-known names with many years of experience behind them.

BAMM will help as much as possible to get graduates working after they complete their course by providing valuable, targeted contacts within the industry. We will also endeavour to acquire relative placements for graduates in their chosen field, be it television, theatre, bridal or film. You will probably need to accept unpaid work to start with to build your contacts and also improve on your existing/new skills.

We hold Industry Days for graduates where you can update your skills and you will be given help with your CV/portfolio, contacts and website on-line presence etc. These days are extremely valuable and FREE for any students who have taken the Peter King Film & TV Makeup Course with us.
